Panel Processing Expands TFL Capacity

Panel Processing Inc. announced it will expand its thermally fused laminating capacity with the purchase of a short-cycle press line for the company’s Memorial Drive facility in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Scheduled to be fully operational by end of 2018, the new press line should more than double the current TFL production of its Swan Court, Klamath Falls location, the company said. Headquartered in Alpena, Michigan, Panel Processing operates 11 manufacturing plants in six states throughout the United States. The Memorial Drive, Klamath Falls location, formerly Down River, was acquired by Panel Processing in November 2016.

“We are excited about this upcoming investment,” said Brad Matuzak, national sales manager. “The increased capacity and the expansion of our TFL line will allow us to better serve our current customer base. The additional textures will also allow us to provide to a group that we have been unable to supply before.”

The company and its subsidiaries, Holland Panel Products and Alabama Inter-Forest, serve a variety of markets including retail fixture, P.O.P. display, cabinets, furniture, packaging, toy and game, and digital print signage. An employee-owned (ESOP) firm, Panel Processing posted sales of $77 million in 2016.
